About the Camp
The Bobcat Tennis Junior Camp Program is designed for all levels of play. The program consists of comprehensive instruction, physical conditioning, and match play. All training will be held at the Centennial Center Tennis Complex on the main campus of Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville, and lunch will be provided each day in the GCSU cafeteria.
Each junior participant will receive at least three hours of small group instruction per day, per the following schedule:

Check-in will begin 30 minutes prior to the beginning of the first session at the Centennial Center Tennis Complex.
Registration Details
The registration fee is $175 per player, and includes an camp t-shirt. A non-refundable deposit of $50 per player is due with your application, and the balance is due at registration. Applications will be accepted on a "space available" basis only, and we cannot guarantee a fitted t-shirt for late registrants. In addition, each camper will be required to have a completed PARENTAL CONSENT FORM and LIABILITY WAIVER on file at GCSU before participating in camp activities. These forms will be mailed to each athlete upon receipt of camp deposit, or you can download it (in PDF format) from this web site.

Camp Director Steve Barsby
Since 2001, Steve Barsby has led the GCSU men's and women's tennis programs as the head coach. He was named the Peach Belt Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year in 2005 after leading the Bobcats to an 18-7 overall record, 6-2 mark in the Peach Belt Conference, and their second straight trip to the NCAA Tournament. He was named the PBC Women's Tennis Coach of the Year in 2003 after guiding the GCSU women's tennis team to one of the greatest seasons in school history. The Bobcats won their first outright, and fourth overall, Peach Belt Conference Regular Season Championship, as well as the Peach Belt Conference Tournament Championship. GCSU advanced all the way to the semifinals of the national championship tournament and finished with a No. 4 national ranking. In 2005, the GCSU women advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the 11th consecutive season, while the GCSU men also advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the seventh time in school history.
Barsby came to GCSU from Brock University in Ontario, Canada, where he taught sports management. Prior to that, he was the head tennis coach at Troy State in Alabama from 1995-1997, where he guided the Trojan men's team to the conference championship in 1997. He was also honored as the Conference Coach of the Year following the 1997 season. Coach Barsby was named the 2009 ITA Division II Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
Barbsy earned his undergraduate and Masters degrees in Physical Education from Troy State in 1995 and 1997, respectively. He was a four-year tennis player for the Trojans, earning All-Conference honors twice, as well as the Freshman of the Year Award.
